List of Equipment:
- Acetone & Cloth - cleaning repair site.
- Polyester Resin, Catalyst, Wax (candle) & Talcum Powder.
- Cup, syringe & stirrer.
- Sanding block & sandpaper.
- Prepare repair site by removing any loose particles, scratching with sandpaper & rubbing down with acetone.
- Mix the resin & catalyst (5ml / 3 drops). If it will be rubbed down later then add wax in the same ratio as catalyst by volume (if not using wax, cover to exclude air). Measure the resin using a syringe and stir with a flat stirrer. The mix can be turned into putty by adding talc.
- Apply the mixture to the repair and smooth out. If unwaxed or air has not been excluded, the finish will be sticky and will accept another layer. If waxed or air has been exclude, can be sanded to shape or smoothed.
